How Carter's Collection Works

After you sign up, we will bring a bucket by your house for you. Using the helpful guide below, start adding kitchen scraps to your bucket throughout the week.

A Carter's Crewmember will stop by, pickup your bucket curbside and bring it back to add to the compost pile. A drop-off option is available on Old Mission, or email us if you're downtown.

We mix in carbon, aka "browns," to keep the pile balanced while also ensuring moisture and temperature are just right for the worms and other micro-organisms to do their thing.

If you need, we have five-gallon buckets full of renewed compost so that you can use it to grow yummy veggies (or pretty flowers!).
