Carter's Crewmembers 

Do you love being outside? Are you interested in sustainability in our community? Do you just want to get paid to get a workout in? Are you looking for a an outdoor gig to add to your spring, summer and fall?

There are many opportunities to partake in the compost fun in Traverse City! Carter's is looking for bikers to pickup scraps from households and strong bodies to help turn piles and screen compost. Let's work together to find the right fit for you as a Carter's Crewmember. The time commitments can be as little or much as you'd like!

 

At a glance, a Carter's Crewmember is:

• Enthusiastic about biking, compost, our city, or just like doing meaningful work

• Capable of lifting heavy buckets or shovelfuls repeatedly

• Reliable and committed with a preference for open communication

• Confident biking city streets with a trailer behind them (minimum age of 16)

 

Interested crewmembers can expect: 

• Wages starting at $15 per hour

• General flexibility - with few exceptions, work can be done anytime of day

• A free compost subscription and access to some awesome, healthy compost

• Time outside making a positive difference in the community
